  • Colin Kaepernick doesn’t wear sleeves in subzero temperatures

Kaepernick bares arms, tats, toughness for victory via SFGate The statement was made more than an hour before kickoff, when Colin Kaepernick ran onto the barren brown turf at Lambeau Field for pregame warm-ups. No sleeves. No gloves. The tattoos were on full display in the ice-cold weather. "I asked him if he was sure he didn't want to go to sleeves," a giddy, ebullient Jim Harbaugh said after the 49ers pulled off a thrilling 23-20 win over Green Bay. "He said no, he'd played in colder." That might or might not be true. It was incredibly, historically cold Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field, the coldest game in...

  • Colin Stars in New "Beats by Dre" Commercial - Seahawks Fans Boycott

Beats by Dre just released a new advertising campaign starring #7.  It's an amazing commercial, especially the close-up of his Endzone Scroll tattoo at the 2:34 mark.  It makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning, put on your Kaepertats, and conquer the world!  With a commercial this cool, there's no way the She-Hawks fans follow-through on their planned boycott of these headphones in the Seattle area.  Poor life decision on the part of our opponents up north.

  • KeaperTats on Display in London

Four teams and approximately 600 tattoos made the trek across the pond to London for games this season. No team traveled farther than San Francisco, whose 5,000-plus-mile trip through eight time zones could have thrown a serious jet lag monkeywrench into the streaking team. And no tattoos were under more scrutiny in front of 83,559 screaming Brits than our favorite quarterback.  Instead, cool-as-a-cucumber QB7 led a 42-10 charge through Jacksonville at Wembley Stadium. Displaying a liberal dose of the pistol offense, QB7’s dynamic abilities were unleashed as he ran for two touchdowns, threw for one more and ultimately conquered an...

  • Cover of GQ. So Hot Right Now.

He's the backup who took his team to the Super Bowl, the football player with the 95-mph fastball, the guy who ran roughshod over defenses last season but was coached in high school to never run the ball at all. In other words, the most unpredictable and least understood elite QB in the league right nowhttp://www.gq.com/entertainment/sports/201309/colin-kaepernick-cover-september-2013#ixzz2dQZCc4YJ

  • Life since NOLA, tattoo edition

It's been a busy few months for superstar quarterback Colin Kaepernick since the Super Bowl. After regrouping with the team, he instinctively started afresh- a new outlook to already start mentally and physically preparing for the next season. One of the first things he did was head back to the tattoo parlor. While he ultimately decided to go with a tribal warrior-inspired chest plate, making him look eternally battle ready, there were a few interesting finalists he considered. The first was KEEP THE LIGHTS ON written in bold typeface across his stomach, in homage to the light fiasco in the Superdome.  A...

  • Pre-Game Report: Kaepernick’s Tattoos

Between all the interviews, photo shoots, and the preparation to beat the Ravens in the Super Bowl, the three of us tattoos have had a busy week, as have our owner, Colin Kaepernick.  We’ve been the focus of a lot of attention, especially from these national media types like ESPN and USA Today.  But we’ve stayed focused on Colin’s right and left biceps, providing him the strength and accuracy needed to bring home a 6th Super Bowl title for the 49ers. Practice sessions with Colin this week have been crisp and flawless.  But how are we feeling waking up on...

  • How KaeperTat.com began...

We were having a casual breakfast- just 4 overly caffeinated , well-fed, normal 49er fans, when the idea was thrown out to give folks a chance to have a slice of Kaepernicking with their own version of his magical tattoos.  Kaepernick isn't the first NFL star to have tattoos, but he is the first who can run and throw with such force, the first to be on the brink of becoming a Super Bowl-winning quarterback with such little experience. What else can his fans attribute his incredible success to, if not his tattoos?  So in an afternoon (no really, we...
